India and Japan talked about crucial aspects of bilateral cyber cooperation. The fifth India-Japan Cyber Dialogue, held this morning in Tokyo, evaluated advancements in information and communication technologies, particularly cyber security and 5G technology. Muanpui Sayavi, Joint Secretary, Department of Cyber Diplomacy, Ministry of External Affairs, led the Indian mission. Both parties discussed the latest developments in the cyber sector as well as mutual collaboration in other international and regional venues, such as the United Nations and the Quad Framework. Both officials emphasized the importance of capacity building in guaranteeing a secure cyberspace and pledged to work together on this front. The Japanese side has graciously invited the Indian side to the 6th India-Japan Cyber Dialogue, which will be held in New Delhi next year.
