The Supreme Court of Pakistan granted bail to former Prime Minister Imran Khan today in the case of exposure of state secrets. Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party leader and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was also granted bail. Khan was previously sentenced to three years in jail in a corruption case. Although his sentence was suspended, he has been imprisoned since August on numerous accusations, including violating the Official Secrets Act. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party has stated that the former prime minister will remain imprisoned in separate corruption charges.
