Parks Canada has announced the closure of trails and campgrounds in Waterton Lakes National Park after a bear attacked two visitors. The bear attacked two people who were traveling from Crandall Lake to Ruby Ridge at around 2 pm on Tuesday. Both were injured in the attack.
Parks Canada said they used bear spray to escape the bear. Both of them are not seriously injured. Parks officials have launched an investigation into the incident. Following the attack, Parks Canada said all areas near Crandall Lake are closed and visitors are not allowed until further notice.
