Vanessa Gilles, a member of the Canadian women's national soccer team, shares her experiences about the challenges they face. The emotional speech came after New Zealand's head coach Bive Priestman was banned for a year by FIFA and banned from the Olympics for using a drone to spy on the New Zealand team's training. Apart from this, Canada's six-point reduction was a huge setback.

But despite the ongoing controversy, Canada's 2-1 comeback win over France at the Paris Olympics is raising hopes. The goal scored by Vanessa Gilles in the 12th minute of the injury time brought the team to victory.

After the win, Gilles said they are not cheating and the controversy has put a lot of pressure on the team. They were crying and not eating during their troubles. I don't think it was the best performance at the Olympics. But they held each other to victory. Gilles said in an interview to the national media that they have nothing to lose.
