Washington: NASA has announced that Sunita Williams and fellow passenger Butch Wilmore, who were stuck in the International Space Station due to the failure of the Boeing Starliner probe, will be returned by February next year. NASA chief Bill Nelson said that the return trip will be made by Elon Musk's SpaceX company's Dragon spacecraft. The action was taken on the basis that it would not be safe to return on the Starliner due to problems with the propulsion system. The two reached the space station on June 7 and were scheduled to return on June 13.

This was Indian-origin Sunita's third visit to space and the maiden voyage of the Boeing Starliner. The launch of this mission had to be changed twice due to continuous problems.
