In Halifax, the living wage rose to $28.30

 

Halifax reportedly has the highest living wage in Atlantic Canada. According to a report by the Canadian Center for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), parents of two children in Halifax must work 35 hours a week and earn at least $28.30 to support their family. That's the biggest living wage increase over the past year compared to Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island and the rest of Nova Scotia.
