M Pox: MVA-BN, the first vaccine, received prequalified approval by the World Health Organization

 

New York: MVA-BN vaccine has been selected as a prequalified vaccine against M. pox. The manufacturers of this wax are Bavarian Nordic. The vaccine is given as two doses four weeks apart. So far, the trial of the vaccine has been conducted in people over 18 years of age. The vaccine can be stored for up to 8 weeks at 2-8°C.

Experiments have shown that a single dose of the vaccine can prevent 76 percent of M.pox symptoms, and two doses can prevent more than 80 percent of the disease.

The World Health Organization plans to quickly complete and distribute other phases of the vaccine given the emergency situation in Africa.
