Risk of collapse: 138,000 Lucid-branded beds sold in US and Canada recalled

 

Lucid-branded beds sold in the United States and Canada have been recalled after reports of a crash accident. About 138,000 platform beds sold at retailers including Amazon and Walmart are being recalled. The beds were recalled after reports of injuries caused by them collapsing. CVB Inc., based in Utah, USA. The recall involves Lucid-branded platform beds with upholstered square tufted headboards that were imported and manufactured between 2019 and 2021. About 137,000 beds have been recalled in the United States and 890 in Canada.

A statement from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada states that the beds may break, sag or collapse during use. So far, 245 accidents have been reported in the United States. Around 18 people were injured. 11 cases of bed collapse reported in Canada But no other injuries were reported.
