Authorities have issued a warning about people posting ads on TikTok offering illegal services to help Indian temporary residents cross the border into the United States. In an interview given to Radio Canada, the owner of the Tik Tok account, which publishes ads that help cross the border, explains this. The person, who did not want to be named, said that it takes more than 40 minutes to reach the destination through the forest.

TikTok ads offer safe passage to the US from Montreal, Brampton and Surrey. One of the accounts with more than 360,000 followers mainly targets Indian students living in Canada. It is reported that most of the Tik Tok account holders are Indians.

The number of people crossing the border from Canada to the United States has increased sharply. Illegal crossings are prohibited by the United States. Those wishing to cross the border must report at official entry points. But those who cross illegally do so through forests and other places.

TikTok accounts include testimonials in Punjabi language from satisfied customers. Videos of clients claiming to have crossed into the US can also be seen on TikTok accounts. All this gives more incentive to those who want to enter America. Some clients also say that after they cross the border safely and reach their destination, they hand over the money to the agents. It is reported that the rate is 1500 dollars per person.
