Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said the remaining diplomats in the country have been put on notice, amid questions about whether there will be more expulsions amid a diplomatic spat between India and Canada. Speaking about Indian diplomats following the expulsion of six this week, Jolly, in response to a question from reporters, said diplomatic staff were under strict surveillance.
Joly said they will not tolerate any diplomats who violate the Vienna Convention and diplomats from other countries who put the lives of Canadian citizens at risk. Jolie's comments come after both countries expelled diplomats on Monday. Canada has expelled Indian diplomats as agents linked to the Indian government in connection with a campaign against Canadian citizens.
