The remains of an Indian-origin man who went missing on February 23 this year have been found in Surrey. Human remains found in Richmond on July 23 have been identified as those of missing 28-year-old Navdeet Kaur from Surrey, the Integrated Investigation Team (IHIT) said in a news release. Surrey RCMP have been investigating Navdeep since his family filed a missing report.
In March, the Lower Mainland's homicide team took over the investigation. A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of human remains by Richmond RCMP near the confluence of Williams Road with the Fraser River. Richmond RCMP said Navdeep Kaur's death is suspected to be a homicide and the investigation is ongoing.
Police asked anyone with information about Kaur's disappearance and murder to call investigators at 1-877-551-4448.
