Immigrants arriving in Canada are leaving the country and migrating to other countries, according to a report prepared jointly by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship and the Conference Board of Canada. At the same time, the report found that one in five immigrants leave Canada within 25 years of arriving in Canada. At the same time, the report also found that one in three leave Canada within the first five years. The report calls on the government to formulate plans to encourage more people to stay in Canada.
The report found that economic immigrants are the most likely to leave Canada, while refugees are the least likely to leave the country. The report also states that some of those who avoided Canada returned to their home countries, while others chose other countries.
