Canadian Health Care Reportedly Fails to Provide Services as Paid for. According to the report, even when more money has to be spent for treatment, the corresponding service is not provided. Shortages of doctors and medical equipment, along with the longest waits for treatment, are a challenge Canadians face.

Canada has the fourth highest healthcare costs in the world. Canada ranks 28th out of 30 developed countries in terms of availability of doctors in 2022. Canada ranks 25th in terms of hospital beds and 25th in psychiatric beds. Of the nine industrialized countries with universal health coverage, Canada ranks eighth. Patients are reportedly waiting more than a month to see a specialist. The study also shows that there is an imbalance between the amount Canadians spend on the health care system and the care they receive.
