Town of Wasaga Beach offers financial assistance for snow removal

 

 

The local government is offering financial assistance to eligible Wasaga Beach residents to help with snow removal during the winter. The financial assistance is part of the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Snow Removal Program. Low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities can apply for assistance.

Financial grants of up to $400 are available. The program will help cover the cost of hiring someone to remove snow from driveways. To qualify for the grant, residents must be 65 years of age or older, and those with medical conditions, mobility impairments, and disabilities can apply. Completed applications, reimbursement forms and receipts can be sent via email, mail or dropped off at the Town Hall Treasury Department on Lewis Street. Grant applications will be accepted until January 24.
