The Yukon government is reportedly moving to shift applications to the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) to an intake-based approach. Officials say that once a given intake is capped, YNP applications will stop being accepted until the next intake. This year’s YNP will open with the first intake on January 29. This intake will accept a maximum of 125 applications for nominations to the YNP.
The YNP is expected to hold future intakes quarterly. However, a specific schedule for intakes has not been set. The YNP intends to adjust the size and frequency of intakes based on the allocation of nominations received from the federal government. Yukon has requested an increase in the allocation for nominations in 2025.
