An Indian citizen who was denied permanent residency over suspicions of links to a company behind false propaganda and news has been allowed to reapply. He was allowed to reapply for permanent residency through a court order.

The person, identified only as AS in the federal court order, is the brother of the CEO of a company known as Aglaya. The court ruling states that Aglaya is a company that provides intelligence warfare and hacking-related services. "The visa officer states that Aglaya is a subsidiary or affiliated company of the Srivastava Group, and that both companies have a registered address in New Delhi. The visa officer had written to AS stating that AS is a member of the Srivastava Group, and that there is evidence to establish that he is a person responsible for the main supervision of the businesses and even for making decisions. The visa officer denied permanent residency, citing that granting permanent residency to someone who is working with this company, which is associated with disinformation campaigns, is a threat to national security. However, the court allowed the re-application, stating that there was insufficient evidence to support these findings.
