Experts say Canada has legal obstacles to revoking Elon Musk's citizenship. According to Canadian federal law, citizenship can only be revoked if someone provides false information on immigration applications, commits fraud, or serves in a foreign military against Canada, says immigration lawyer Gabriela Ramo. Before moving on to this, the resolution needs to be introduced. Ramo, a former chair of the Canadian Bar Association's immigration section, said the current citizenship law needs to be amended. Ramo added that it is "very rare" for Canadian citizenship to be revoked. The Canadian government has not yet indicated that it will take any action regarding Musk's citizenship.
